North Vancouver Family Room Before and After

Charlene, Owner and Design Consultant at Jabot Interiors, recently worked on a family room renovation project, similar to this North Vancouver living room renovation in our previous post.

Not only did we help complete this renovation from the bare bones, but we also did the full interior design and helped pick out the furniture to complete the space. Check out these before and after photos to see what we did!

Wait til You See This Stunning North Vancouver Living Room Transformation

Charlene, Owner and Design Consultant at Jabot Interiors, recently worked with this client to completely overhaul their North Vancouver living room. The room was basically taken down to the studs, so they could start completely from scratch. It’s amazing what she was able to do with this space.

The Easiest Way to Update a Home Exterior

You’ve probably, at one time or another, looked at your back patio or home exterior and thought, this place could use a facelift.

Well, that’s exactly what Charlene Ingram, Owner and Design Consultant at Jabot Interiors, thought about her own back patio, and she wanted to make a change. Nothing too drastic, and nothing that would break the bank.

Her solution? Concrete paint.

Check out the Before picture of Charlene’s home exterior and back patio:

It doesn’t look that bad, but none of it really jumps out at you, does it?

Now check out the patio in progress:

Looks good, right? Well, she went one step further, and finished off the top step, as well.

Here is the final product and Charlene’s new back patio:

Wow! Doesn’t it look fabulous? The best part is, it really complements the planters, and makes for a very sophisticated looking outdoor space.

Just a little bit of concrete paint, and it’s like a whole new home exterior!

bathroom renos

Before & After: 3 Bathroom Renos in West Vancouver

This client in West Vancouver wanted to give all three bathrooms in their home a makeover. These are what you would call lipstick renos, as no structural changes were made, only cosmetic changes. Check out the amazing Before and After photos below!

Bathroom Reno #1

Before

As you can see, this bathroom was looking a little bit tired. The dark colours didn’t do much for it.

They chose a custom vanity, floor tile by Tierra sol, Caesarston counters, and Riobel fixtures. Doesn’t the white make such a difference? It’ so bright, especially with all that natural light!

The floor, the mirror, the light fixtures, and even the colours were all a bit outdated.

Before and After Bathroom Project: Powder Coated

Not all reno projects have to be laborious. Sometimes all you need to do is freshen up a few pieces in a room to make it completely new (to you) again.

Take this powder room bathroom project we worked on recently.

Powder Room Before

powder room bathroom project before

Here’s the before–a simple powder room with plain wood cabinets, and a gold framed mirror. There was nothing wrong with this bathroom, albeit the finishings were a bit outdated. It needed some fresh new colour and style!

Powder Room After

We added a new cabinet with a darker stain of wood, new sink, faucet, & mirror.

To top it up and dress up this powder room, we added wallpaper and painted
the ceiling a colour to match the wallpaper. Everything else was left as is.

How gorgeous and inviting is this powder room now? It doesn’t even look like the same room!

Renovations: Doing a lot with a little

Working with what you have

Renovations don’t have to drain your bank account, that is, if you do them smart. We recently had a client who wanted to do some renovations to a few rooms in their new home, but wanted to keep it within budget. Instead of gutting the place, we took a look at what was salvageable and what we could work with. Here’s how we did it.

Bathroom Before & After

Take this example. For this bathroom, we kept the vanity as-is, as well as the main shower tiles, but we cut out the detail in the shower wall and inserted a newly updated one, and we replaced the floors with Carrara tile and put in white quartz counter tops. This bathroom renovation could have cost up to $10,000, but it only cost a few thousand.

Kitchen Before & After

For this kitchen, the cost ended up being a few thousand dollars, where it could have cost up to tens of thousands for re-doing the entire thing. This kitchen had some great elements to begin with, but some small updates like the modern light fixtures, a new backsplash, and new counter tops give the room a fresh new look, as if it was a brand new kitchen.
